Partnership for more cost-effective solutions for calls to the Philippines

Vonage and Globe Telecom Enter International Partnership

Globe Telecom, a leading Philippine telecommunications company, and Vonage, a leading global provider in Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), join forces to bring affordable international call rates to and from the Philippines.

The partnership between Globe and Vonage will further cut the cost of international calls to the Philippines, benefiting over eight million Filipinos living and working abroad and their families as they will be able to stay in touch more frequently without worrying about their phone bills or balances running-out on their call cards

“We are thrilled to sign out first international partnership with Globe,” said Kimberly O’Loughlin, Managing Director International Markets. “Our creative alliance enables both companies to serve the needs of Filipino callers globally.”

Globe and Vonage are set to launch call services to the Philippines from the United States. Both companies plan to expand these benefits to the U.K and Canada.

“This partnership with Vonage defines Globe’s intent in addressing the evolving communication needs of the almost 800,000 Fil-Am households in the US,” said Gil Genio, Head of the International and Business Markets of Globe Telecom.
